Riding my wine!

Lawson got his first exposure to wine making yesterday at Benziger Family Winery. We had a great tour guide, Hal, who showed us all around and took special care to make sure Lawson enjoyed himself. We went on top of the ridge to get a view of the entire propoerty and let Lawson actually touch some Cabernet vines. We also saw their insectary and reclamation ponds where they recycle all their own water.  The highlight for Lawson was seeing the sheep herd they have that eats the grasses and weeds that grow among the vines. It took him a little while, but once he "saw" them he was fascinated. For Deb and I the best was the tour of the wine caves. Not because we haven't seen them before, but because Lawson had such a blast. He was walking all over the place and even took a ride on a wine barrell. We didn't know you could have this much fun without actually drinking the wine ;-) Check him out!
