Lawson's First Halloween

We just had a great night celebrating Halloween for the first time with Lawson. He was dressed as "the cutest monkey ever" (according to his mom). We had his good friend Noah over for a pre-party before the big festivities. Noah and Lawson played together before we headed up to 69th street for Trick-or-Treating Manhattan style. We strolled up 9th Avenue and Noah's big brother Luka went into all the stores, delis and restaurants getting candy. When we arrived at 69th Street we were are in awe at the sight. One of the first houses on the block had huge spiders hanging from the trees out front and real live Spider Man, Cat Woman, Batman and Robin rapelling down the front facade of the building. Needless to say all the kids (and adults) were going crazy. Other stops included a haunted house in a brownstone and a full scale broadway musical scene in a basement. It's hard to explain, but it was awesome! Lawson had a ball riding on daddy's shoulders, looking at the sea of people dressed in every imaginable costume. Some highlights included: Bob the Builder, 2 dogs as pumkpins, Mr Peanut talking to the Headless Horseman, a Baby Penguin, Dora the Explorer and a Clone Warrior. By the end of the night (aka 8:30), Lawson was spent. He fell asleep on the walk home and will no doubt  sleep well tonight.......

What a great time all around! As Lawson's mother I will tell you that he really had fun! And when he mischievously plucked that feather out of my cap - he was supremely proud of himself ... ;)
